Our staff works closely with your primary care veterinarian to provide advanced care and monitoring of critically ill patients. We always have at least one doctor in the hospital specifically for the treatment of emergency cases. NWGVEC is able to get answers quickly, as we are equipped with state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment.
When emergency surgery is required at NWGVEC, our focus is on ensuring the safety of the patient and the best possible outcome. Emergency surgeries are performed by our trained emergency doctors. Every pet gets a complete pre-operative assessment including any appropriate diagnostic testing to ensure that your pet is stable and as strong as possible before undergoing anesthesia and surgery.
DIAGNOSTIC IMAGING & RADIOLOGY
NWGVEC provides a range of diagnostic services, including: In-house veterinary laboratory testing—Having an on-site lab allows our doctors to obtain a rapid diagnosis and initiate treatment as early as possible and a strong diagnostic imaging department for digital X-rays, contrast studies and ultrasonography.
Our highly qualified and experienced emergency doctors, technicians and client care specialists all welcome the opportunity to offer expertise in emergency care. In addition to caring for dogs and cats, we also provide emergency care for hamsters, ferrets, rats, rabbits, mice, guinea pigs, birds, reptiles (including turtles), and other exotic pets.
